Our answer to sustainability
We attach great importance to quality and see it as our form of sustainability. Because quality means longevity. With us you will find furniture that is manufactured locally in classic factories and that will accompany you for decades. Each of our upholstered furniture is handcrafted by skilled workers in many individual steps.
Good wood is the basis for the base frame, which has to withstand the tension of the spring. This should give way when you get comfortable, but then return to its original shape - and this for years. So that you can enjoy the comfort and the different degrees of hardness of a spring, but not feel it, you need hardened cold foam or a spring core. Both are shaped in the upholstery workshop. Here too, the following applies: an upholstery must offer pleasant seating comfort, but should not lose its shape. Finally, the upholstered base frame is covered with the finest fabrics or leather - cut and sewn by hand.

A wide variety of surface
Treatments result in individual aesthetics: sanding, varnishing, charring or smoking wood with fire, oiling and polishing.
It takes countless work steps to produce such an edge with a perfectly painted surface.
When cutting, there are templates for each element of an upholstered furniture cover that are transferred to the material so that everything fits together perfectly afterwards. This is still partly done by hand. The covers are cut with the utmost care. When processing leather, a lot of waste occurs because it is a natural product.

Nosag springs made of hardened steel wire are stretched into the solid wooden frame, giving the seating furniture its long-lasting comfort. The frame and under-padding are provided with various cold foam pads in various degrees of hardness. Alternatively, a spring core is used to achieve optimal seating comfort.

Before the fabric is covered, the furniture is completely covered with Diolen cotton wool.
Our classic upholstered furniture models are characterized by their durability and can be reupholstered even after 30-40 years. The base frame retains its shape due to its stability and robustness.
